Nadine Anderson Cheng Hin Mee was born in the West Indies in Kingston Jamaica, she
enjoyed many of  her Sunday evenings competing with her brother as to who would copy
best, illustrations from various comic books. With a love for animals her initial plans were
to pursue a profession in veterinary medicine though her father insisted she would be a
good lawyer, being a child who had an excuse for everything... however through a chain
of events and a supportive art teacher Nadine made her final choice to be a graphic
designer, graduating from  the Edna Manley School for the Visual Arts with an Honors
Diploma; voted and featured by The Jamaican magazine as Best Student in her
department for that year.

Since her graduation she has had a successful career in the field of graphic design
working in the advertising and publishing arena. Finding herself bored one day amidst the
frenzied life of advertising, a friend of Nadine suggested that she revive her past and
experiment with painting to relax...she has never looked back since. Fine art became an
integral part of Nadine's life after hesitantly showing her work at one of  the larger galleries
in Jamaica.

With a preference for portraiture she depicts many sensitive scenes of humanity and with
use of colour that fluctuates between brooding and bliss, her brush strokes takes on an
impressionistic life of their own, retaining ties to a feeling of realism. This has made her
works of art popular with her countrymen and worldwide.

Nadine has done numerous commissioned works and has exhibited in several group
exhibitions in Jamaica, St. Marrten, Trinidad and New York, and has taken part in
Jamaica's Annual National Art Competitions. She has held the post of public relations
officer for the Jamaican Artists and Craftsmen Guild, a nonprofit organization which was
created to strengthen the awareness and appreciation of Jamaican art and to foster a
spirit of solidarity and integration amongst all artists and craftspersons.

In 2002 Nadine went to Miami and enrolled in university to pursue her BA Degree,
with the intention to retool her abilities and with future focus on
promoting the use of fine art as a means of communication by integrating it in her graphic
